Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, medical procedures, and administrative support within diverse clinical settings. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient services across outpatient clinics, hospital environments, and specialized units such as dermatology, emergency medicine, or geriatrics. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinical operations while delivering compassionate care to patients.

This position requires specific MA or PCT training. We are not considering CNA applicants at this time.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments to uphold strict infection control standards.
- Support physicians and nurses during procedures, including medication administration and basic life support when necessary.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation of patient information and ICD coding for diagnoses.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as X-ray imaging or other outpatient testing under supervision.
- Coordinate patient flow within the clinic or hospital setting, ensuring timely appointments and follow-up care.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and demonstrating empathy throughout the care process.
Candidate Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Medical Assistant Certification: Current CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA.
- PCT Certification: Current Patient Care Technician certification (CPCT/A).
- Experience: At least one year of verifiable experience working specifically as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or outpatient setting.
